Blue Devils defeat Bulldogs

The Danville High School football team did all it could do to keep its playoff hopes alive on Saturday night, unfortunately the outcome was not in its hands alone. The Blue Devils needed a win versus its biggest rival, the East Knox Bulldogs, which it got, and some help from Fisher Catholic, which it didn’t.

As the contract termination hearing for suspended Mount Vernon Middle School science teacher John Freshwater resumes Tuesday, the Dennis family is speaking out. Originally referred to as the Doe family to protect their anonymity and to prevent negative repercussions, the family now wants their side of the story to be told.

Freshwater hearing to resume

After a three-week hiatus, the employment termination hearing of Mount Vernon Middle School science teacher John Freshwater is scheduled to resume Tuesday. The proceedings will again be held in the conference room in the office of the Knox County Commissioners.
