Freshwater Hearing update

October 28, 2008

MOUNT VERNON — Zach Dennis took the stand this morning as the John Freshwater termination hearing resumed after more than three weeks.

According to Mount Vernon News Staff Reporter Pam Schehl, Dennis discussed the Tesla Coil used by Freshwater and demonstrated how he, and fellow students, were marked with the instrument.

The MVHS freshman also described how Freshwater talked about religion in his classroom.

David Millstone, attorney for the Mount Vernon School Board, showed portions of a video that Freshwater used in his classroom. The video, according to Schehl, did discuss God.
