Police operation ends with several arrests

Danville Police Chief Monte Vance reported that on Monday evening, officers from the Danville Police Department, Fredericktown Police Department, Mount Vernon Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency made several arrests, ending a several-month investigation into illegal narcotics trafficking in the village of Danville and the Knox County area.

Centerburg to pave parking lot

Centerburg Village Council agreed to pave a public parking lot as well as the bridge in the Hess addition of town during its monthly meeting Monday night.

A 17-year-old youth was seriously injured Monday morning in a fall from a tree stand while hunting in the woods at 16958 Divelbiss Road.
