Although not an historic building, the old River’s Edge building on West Gambier Street was demolished Tuesday for the push of progress. The removal of the building is part of the City of Mount Vernon’s plan to widen South Sandusky Street. Demolition was administered by Edsel Excavation on Tuesday.

Major changes in property values

Not all of the lines have been at the polls this week. A line of Knox County taxpayers, letters in hand, have been circulating through the Knox County Auditor’s office as well.

KCCC appoints acting superintendent

After meeting in executive session at noon on Wednesday, the Knox County Career Center Board of Education appointed director Debbie Cisler to serve as acting superintendent.
