Recession a concern for small businesses

With the government announcement that the country is officially in a recession, small businesses are apprehensive of future turnout by consumers. Small businesses have always been a driving force during time of economic turmoil, and, although not all small businesses survive, many continue in the race.

Chandler pleads guilty to murdering his wife

According to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher, a Mount Vernon man pleaded guilty to murder Tuesday.

Ohio receives grant for criminal tracking system

Ohio has received a $100,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to upgrade its criminal tracking system. The system, called Victim Information and Notification Everyday, allows crime victims to check the status of inmates still in prison.
