Mount Vernon Street Department has temporarily closed several streets on the city’s east side to allow time for salt to work on the icy roads. As road conditions improve, closed roads will be reopened. Drivers are encouraged to use caution out on the streets as crews continue to work to make roads passable. Virgil Shipley
