A 59-year-old Howard woman died of a gunshot wound Sunday. The Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District EMS and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 24159 Coshocton Road, the home of Barbara and Eldon Edmister at 9:03 Sunday morning. The caller to 9-1-1 reportedly stated Barbara had shot herself just below the sternum, before the call was disconnected.
