City agrees to annex old ANC property

At its meeting Monday, Mount Vernon City Council adopted an ordinance approving an annexation agreement between the city and Clinton Township for the 44 acres known as the American National Can property. Council simply approved the agreement to annex; the actual annexation process will follow.

Fredericktown interested in senior levy

Members of the Fredericktown community interested in senior citizen health and wellness have been working together on an application to include Fredericktown in the 2009 Knox County Senior Levy.
