Two sentenced for felonies

January 31, 2009

MOUNT VERNON — According to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher, on Friday, in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas, Judge Otho Eyster sentenced one man and one woman for various felony crimes.

Rusty V. Stiltner, 28, Howard, was sentenced to a two-year prison term for assaulting his 45-year-old mother at her residence on Oct. 3, 2008. Thatcher said Stiltner has two prior convictions for domestic violence, in 2001 and 2008. Deputy Ryan Burgess, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, took the report on the case.

Patricia A. Geiger, 44, Mount Vernon, was convicted of eight counts of deception to obtain dangerous drugs, between Jan. 22 and Sept. 14, 2007. Thatcher said Geiger filled prescriptions for alprazolam at seven different pharmacies written by 19 doctors. Geiger will serve a three-year term of community control supervision, including 180 days in the Knox County Jail. Deputy Tom Durbin, KCSO, investigated the case.
