Sara Pifer, recipient of this year’s Walter Rudin Award reacts when she realizes she is the winner. The award is given in memory of the late Walter Rudin and honors an individual who has made a significant, long-term commitment to downtown Mount Vernon.
The Heritage Centre Association held its annual awards banquet Thursday evening at The Alcove. The event honors those who have made significant contributions to the revitalization of downtown Mount Vernon during the past year.
