The hearing regarding Mount Vernon Middle School science teacher John Freshwater will resume at 10 a.m. after an adjournment to bring student witnesses to the Knox County Service Center.
Kelly Hamilton, attorney for Freshwater, was attempting to have parents discuss affidavits provided by their children as testimony. Referee R. Lee Shepherd said that testimony as inadmissible and the children would be have to be present to testify.
