MOUNT VERNON — A robbery outside Jake’s Restaurant on Coshocton Avenue early Saturday morning remains under investigation, according to Mount Vernon Police Capt. George Hartz.
A gun was allegedly used to threaten two employees in the parking lot after they left the restaurant.
“There were allegedly shots fired,” Hartz said. “We had other reports of shots fired in the area.”
Officers responded to the restaurant just after 2 a.m.
No one was injured, according to Hartz, and no property was damaged. The amount of money taken was not known.
Hartz described the investigation as ongoing, and said there are persons of interest at this time.
