Orange barrels being placed on Gay Street

MOUNT VERNON — Workers are gearing up for the Gay Street improvement project, scheduled to begin this week. City workers set out orange traffic control barrels along the route Monday afternoon. One lane of traffic will be maintained along Gay Street in the areas under construction.
