MOUNT VERNON — Weather permitting, the Mount Vernon Water Department will be repairing a fire hydrant at the corner of Gay Street and Curtis Street on Tuesday, April 7. As a precautionary measure, all residents in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for a minimum of two minutes to ensure safe consumption.
Door hangers will be placed in the affected area which is on Gay Street between Curtis Street and Warden Street.
Any questions may be directed to the Mount Vernon Water Department at 393-9504 during the regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
