Jeld-Wen to add 20 full-time jobs

April 11, 2009

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Officials at the Jeld-Wen headquarters are excited about a new product line coming to the Mount Vernon manufacturing facility. Local residents will be excited about employee recalls and the addition of 20 full-time jobs.

“They are actually taking on the manufacture of a brand new window line for replacement windows and doors,” said Teri Cline, director of corporate communications for Jeld-Wen.

The product line has been in the works for a while, she said, adding that the development of new products is a long and tedious process.

In addition, the Newark Road facility will acquire the production of an existing premium line of vinyl replacement windows.

“They are really adding to the scope of the products they produce there. It’s really exciting,” Cline said about the local plant.

According to Cline, company officials in Mount Vernon are hoping to have the increased crew begin on Monday.
