A crane was brought in to lift HVAC units onto the roof of the former Stage Building on South Main Street in Mount Vernon. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University is remodeling the building for use as an arts center. The crane had a 190-foot reach, which was more than enough for the 150 feet needed to lift the unit and place it on the roof at the back of the building. South Main Street is now open.
It's been one year since the controversy began.
