MOUNT VERNON — A 20-year-old Martinsburg youth pleaded not guilty Friday to four counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence, and one count of tampering with evidence.
The charges stem from a one-car crash on March 28 on Weaver Road, when a vehicle driven by Corey M. Morrison went off the road around 4:25 a.m. Morrison’s two passengers, Ryan C. Lambert of St. Louisville and Thomas A. Johnson of Utica, were ejected from Morrison’s 2003 Ford Explorer. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the indictment, Morrison allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.154.
Also according to the indictment, Morrison is accused of tampering with evidence for concealing or removing evidence after the crash occurred.
Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster set bail at $100,000 with a 10 percent provision. Morrison had previously posted bond in Knox County Municipal Court; the bond was transferred to Common Pleas Court.
