MOUNT VERNON — The contract termination hearing of Middle School science teacher John Freshwater resumed this morning. One of the charges against Freshwater is that he allegedly burned a cross on a student’s arm during a science experiment.

News reporter Pam Schehl said that Stephen Dennis, the father of the student allegedly burned, is still on the stand. Dennis is testifying about what he told investigators, what he found out after the incident occurred, and who he spoke with and corresponding time frames.
