MOUNT VERNON — Weather permitting, the Mount Vernon Water Department will be working on a main water line today. The water supply will be shut down thus creating a boil advisory when the water supply is restored. As a precautionary measure, all residents in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for a minim of two minutes to ensure safe consumption.

Door hangers will not be placed n the affected area which includes:

McKenzie Street from Lamartine Street to Ann Street.

Gay Street from Lamartine Street to Warden Street.

Curtis Street from McKenzie Street to Wooster Road.

Elizabeth Street from McKenzie Street to Wooster Road.

Ann Street from McKenzie Street to Wooster Road.

Wooster Road from Main Street to Taylor Road.

McGibney Road from Wooster Road to High Meadow including El Nido and Stutz Avenue.
