At approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to 6 E. Chestnut St. after receiving a 9-1-1 call advising of a disturbance.

A two-car crash Sunday afternoon caused two people to be flown by MedFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

During a training session Saturday morning, members of the Central Ohio Joint Fire District learned the proper way to work aircraft crashes. The host for the training was Bill See, owner of Chapman Field located on U.S. 36 west of Centerburg.
