MOUNT VERNON — The foundation has been dug, concrete poured and cement blocks are starting to go up for the new restrooms at Foundation Park. Dave Hoover of Hoover Construction Ltd. in Ashland has a running start on the 24-by-20 foot structure. A 5-foot wide utility room will run through the center of the structure.
A shelter house will also be built on the south side of the restrooms. The total area for the shelter will be 55-by-20 feet.
The project will cost a total of $162,900 and has a completion date of Nov. 20. Hoover expects the job to be finished by Oct. 15.
