MOUNT GILEAD — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occured on Tuesday at 1:50 p.m. on Ohio 229, just west of Ohio 314, in Morrow County.

A 2007 Ford Taurus, driven by Wilma A. Wickware, 55, Marengo, was westbound on Ohio 229 and attempted to turn into Highland Community Park. Wickware’s vehicle was struck by a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Stanley A. Craig, 59, Ashville. Craig and his passenger, Danette S. Craig, 59, Ashville, were ejected from the motorcycle. They were not wearing helmets.

Wickware was transported to Morrow County Hospital by the Morrow County EMS. Stanley was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Danette was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. William Lee, Morrow County coroner.

The crash remains under investigation.
