Students participate in Walk to School Day
Pleasant Street Elementary School was among the schools in city of Mount Vernon to participate in the International Walk to School Day this morning with more than 100 students taking part along with 15 parents and school administration. The event seeks to promote physical activity with students, teach safe walking skills, bring awareness of walkability in communities as well as reduce traffic congestion. (Virgil Shipley)
Vigil promotes awareness
