MOUNT VERNON — A South Main Street landmark, the Corner Grill, has been sold and will be demolished.
Realtor Mason Ash has purchased the property and said the area will become a parking lot when plans are completed. It will be added to the Blue-Ash group, of which Ash and his wife, Nancy, are owners.
The property was purchased from John Carhart. Ash said the great long bar front is still in place and he will give it to anyone interested. The top of the bar, however, is gone.
Ash added that the Grill will be torn down at the end of the month.
