  • One-car crash in Apple Valley

  • October 12, 2009

HOWARD — David Bradley Chester, 23, Fredericktown, was drunk when he crashed his pickup into trees on Apple Valley Drive at 12:29 a.m. Saturday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the truck traveled 300 feet off the right side of the road, knocking down a mailbox, running through a flower bed and then swerving across the road and traveling another 100 feet into the trees.

Chester’s breath test was .216, three times over the limit, according to the patrol.

LOCK — Donald R. Prince, 43, Centerburg, was treated and released from Grant Medical Center after a crash Sunday at 4:30 a.m. on Ohio 541 at the edge of Lock.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Prince was southbound when his station wagon ran off the left side of the road and smashed an air conditioning unit beside the home of Geoff and Shirley Skal. The crash is still under investigation.
