County trucks set for winter weather

Getting a shot
Billie Summers, left, gets a flu shot from LPN Maxine Caudil at CVS Pharmacy on Wednesday. CVS recieved 500 doses of the flu shots, after expecting only about 70. Store manager Tom Ice said other CVS stores in Central Ohio canceled their orders for the vaccine. This freed up the doses and the local CVS store contracted with a company to administer the vaccinations. (George Breithaupt)
Vance stepping down from patrol duties
Danville Police Chief Monte Vance will be retiring from patrol duties as of Oct. 31. He will remain as police chief, performing the administrative duties while the village hires a second full-time patrol officer. (Submitted Photo)
Preparing for Kroger fuel center
Workers are removing the gasoline tanks at Bullocks Smoke Shop on Coshocton Avenue in preparation for a sale of the property to the Kroger Co. Bullocks will be opening a new store at 400 Vernonview Drive early next week. (Virgil Shipley)
Thibaut honored
Raymond Thibaut, a long time Knox County realtor was honored Wednesday with the Knox County Realtors Crystal Mill Award for his dedication and service. He worked for Watson Realtors and has been employed by Real Estate Showcase since 1988. He has earned success in selling many types of commercial properties including restaurants and large motels over Ohio. He has served as vice-president of the Knox County Board of Realtors and volunteered his time and service to board committees.
