MOUNT VERNON — McKenzie Street, between Gambier and High streets, and McArthur Street, between Vine and Chestnut streets, will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday at 7 a.m.

The closure is for the 2009 brick street rehabilitation project and will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the work.

The contractor for the project is Smith Paving and Excavating Inc. of Norwalk.
