MOUNT VERNON — The new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill on Coshocton Avenue is set to open Nov. 28.

“We’ve hired 51 employees and people are still welcome to apply, we’ve got a pretty good crew and are pretty well set on employees for now,” said DQ spokesman Christopher Turk. “We’ve got most all the equipment in and it’s in the process of being installed. The employees will have at least a seven-day training schedule starting the 19th.”

Turk said he had more than 400 applications for positions at the restaurant.

The restaurant will offer all of the traditional Dairy Queen favorites, and will have seating inside and out for sit down dining. Operating hours and grand opening details have not yet been set.
