Smoothing out the road

As part of the curb and sidewalk improvement project, some intersections will be smoothed out in order to create a more level driving surface. Kettle Drive kicks off

The Salvation Army’s annual Kettle Drive officially started Wednesday night at Kroger. Pictured, from left, are Kevin Mishey; Kroger store manager Kathy Hupp; Jerry Scott; Ed Smith; Salvation Army Commander Maj. Robert Bender; Barbara Williams; and Bob Page. Mary Praul is standing to the right of the kettle. Volunteers will be ringing their bells at several businesses throughout the holiday season to collect funds to help with The Salvation Army’s community assistance programs.
