Millwood sewer issues discussed

The ‘great pumpkin’ appears
Carol Smithhisler, left, leans on an 800-pound Thanksgiving pumpkin on her lawn at 100 Vernedale Drive. Her son, Gus “Paul” Smithhisler, said he carved letters on squash one day, and is now doing it professionally. It took him 20 minutes to carve these letters. His day job is as a civil engineer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. (Virgil Shipley)
Gilchrist Road accident under investigation
Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Paul Shore looks over this 1998 Jeep Wrangler that turned over on Gilchrist Road, Monday at 11:05 p.m. Shore said Marcus Adkins, 22, Mount Vernon, was eastbound when his Jeep left the right side of the road, hit an embankment and rolled over on the road. Adkins left the scene; the crash is still under investigation. (Virgil Shipley)
