New sewer pipe at Apple Valley

Apple Valley is getting a new section of sewer pipe from Sutton Beach across the inlet to the other shore. Joints at each end of the 40-year-old ductile iron underwater pipe pulled apart for an unknown reason. There was no sewage spill from the breaks. The pipe shown is part of the 280 feet of new plastic pipe that will be installed. Work should be completed this week by Allied Technologies of Columbus. The cost has not been determined.
