New park opens up

Recently the Knox County Park District opened Thayer Ridge Park, a 70-acre site located on Thayer Road west of Mount Vernon off of Ohio 3/U.S. 36. Trails are available for horse riding, mountain bikes and hikers. (Submitted Photo)

Hosting the junior miss

Fredericktown displays Christmas spirit

These youngsters take a seat on Santa’s sleigh made of ice during Sunday’s Fredericktown Christmas Walk. The icy sleigh was one of several ice sculptures carved and which will remain on display on the square in Fredericktown.
