A salute to liberty
The display on Public Square is full of lights and colors this holiday season. Inlcuded in the display is this salute to liberty sign, which was placed on the square last year along with the peace tree in an effort to be compliant with federal law that won’t allow a city to choose just one religion for holiday displays. The words on the sign came from a display in Delaware, which had issues raised about its display several years ago. This year, Santa’s house was placed on the south side of the square by the Heritage Centre Association. (John Seavolt)
