  • MOTA to change hours

  • January 2, 2010

MOUNT VERNON — The Mid-Ohio Transit Authority is changing its hours of operation beginning Monday. The new service hours will be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All Saturday service will require 24 hours advance notice unless previously contracted with MOTA. Call Dispatch by 7 p.m. the Friday before a Saturday ride is needed at 392-RIDE (7433). The shuttle service will be eliminated on Saturdays at this time. MOTA looks for this change in service hours to be temporary.

MOTA serves all of Knox County and specializes in providing transportation that is handicap assessable. Anyone age 65 and over or is disabled is eligible for half-price fare. Anyone interested in contract rates or other ride information can contact Hilary Patterson at 392-7026, ext. 24.
