First baby of the new year

Chrystal Lodahl’s son, Alexander, made a quick entrance to the new year, the first baby born in Knox County for 2010. He arrived at 9:34 a.m. Saturday at Knox Community Hospital weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Father Corey Ansel looks on. They live in Mount Vernon. (Virgil Shipley)
