Taking down the power lines

This tractor-trailer rig accidently hooked power lines and tore them down, breaking off two poles on Nuce Road in front of the ball diamond at Dan Emmett Elementary School about 3 p.m. Tuesday. The road was closed and AEP crews repaired the lines. Seventy-four AEP customers were without power for several hours while the lines were repaired. The Mount Vernon Police Department report was not complete this morning and no other details were available. (Virgil Shipley)
