  • Truck hits house

MOUNT LIBERTY — A Mount Vernon man, Robert McClain, 67, escaped with minor injuries when his truck drifted off U.S. 36/Ohio 3 and hit the home of Patrick and Connie Hatem.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash was on the curve at the west end of Mount Liberty at 4:04 p.m. on Friday. McClain was east bound when his truck left the right side of the road and traveled 375 feet before hitting the house.

The Hatems were not home, according to the OSHP. McClain was charged with failure to control.
