Fire causes heavy damage to East Gambier Street home

Mount Vernon firefighters Todd Davis and Kevin Lisbon rode in the bucket of MVFD Ladder 495 to the top of this house at 510 E. Gambier St. early Saturday morning. They use a thermal imaging camera to look for any fire extension into the attic of the home which burned into the early hours of the morning. A mother and her young son escaped the blaze unharmed.
