MOUNT VERNON — Potential car buyers on the east side of Mount Vernon will soon have a larger choice of vehicles from which to choose.
The property at 11 Coshocton Ave., once the site of Car Care, has been purchased by Ron Ross of Ross Premier Motors under the corporate umbrella of Eleven Coshocton Avenue, LLC. Ross plans for the site to essentially be an extension of his dealership on Harcourt Road.
“We are expanding our dealership is basically what we are doing,” Ross said. “We are hoping to open March 1 and we will be holding a grand opening at that time. It will be the same kind of thing we sell now; late model, pre-owned.”
Ross purchased the property and building last November and work has been ongoing to get it ready. Ross said the lot will hold about 20 to 30 cars, and all transactions will be completed at the site. He said he also expects to add a few other services.
“What we had in mind was the convenience for people on that end of town to have a late model dealership,” he explained. “They will be able to purchase, finance and take delivery of the car out there. We are also considering putting in an oil change service bay. We think it’s going to be a great thing for that end of town.”
