MOUNT VERNON — A large crowd, representing the faces of large and small business in Knox County, gathered Thursday for a Midday Matters luncheon at the Dan Emmett Conference Center. The luncheon was sponsored by the Mount Vernon/Knox County Chamber of Commerce.
Four speakers offered their vision of what the trends and expectations for business will be for the coming year.
Susan Sukys, a financial planner with Money Concepts Capital Corp., told the group the field of financial planning “is constantly evolving.”
Comparing the difficult economic choices available today with the relatively simple economic lives of past generations, Sukys said most people’s education regarding financial planning has not caught up with the difficult and complex choices people make today regarding saving, retirement, pensions, taxes and investment.
