GAMBIER — Passage of the 2010 village budget was the main item of business at the Gambier Village Council meeting on Monday night. Gambier Mayor Kirk Emmert informed council the village was in good financial shape despite the economic downturn being experienced. Council passed the budget.

Emmert said the village’s financial well-being would allow it to undertake a number of projects in 2010, including improvement of sidewalks, streets and parks.
