Two different census surveys will soon be circulating around Knox County. The shorter, official 2010 Census will include only 10 questions; the American Community Survey includes at least 11 pages for a single-person household.
Ten indictments were handed down by a Knox County Grand Jury on Monday. Arraignments are scheduled for Feb. 12, in the Common Pleas Court, before Judge Otho Eyster.
In order to forestall a projected $1.2 million deficit for fiscal year 2011, the East Knox school board on Wednesday passed a resolution to place a five-year, 1 percent earned income tax levy on the May 4 ballot to help pay for the districtís operating expenses.
When it met Wednesday, the East Knox School board took the first step toward placing an issue on the May 4 ballot which would provide money for the districtís operating expenses.
Just because there is a propane gas tank on oneís property, it does not mean that one owns that tank. A dispute between Wilhelmís Bottled Gas Service and Wise Choice Propane has drawn attention to the fact that potentially dangerous confusion can result if the status of a tank is in dispute.

Report of babies born at hospitals other than Knox Community Hospital must be submitted in writing. Include parents’ names, address, age, baby’s sex, and date and place of birth. If either parent is under the age of 18, the signature of a parent or guardian is necessary for each of the baby’s underage parents.
