MOUNT VERNON — Mount Zion Lodge 9, Free and Accepted Masons, celebrated its 200th anniversary on Jan. 8 with a dinner and by conferring the master mason degree on Brother Michael Reardon.

There were 78 masons, members and guests present for the festivities. Guests included three past grand masters of the Grand Lodge of Ohio, MWB Douglas O. Brenneman (1999), MWB Ronald Winnett (2008) and MWB Daniel Iceman (1979), along with the grand marshal of the Grand Lodge of Ohio WB Steve Cokenougher.
