MOUNT VERNON — One of the rites of passage growing up in this country is getting a driver’s license. Many drivers remember taking the test and, if it was failed the first time, what was missed.
The test is a multipurpose exam, looking to see if the drivers know the traffic laws and if the applicant knows how to handle a vehicle. But what goes into setting up the tests, and what do the examiners look for when conducting the driving and maneuverability tests?
