MOUNT VERNON — Current customers of National City Bank will see a few new signs around town but can expect service from the same employees as National City Bank closes its doors today and will reopen Monday as PNC Bank.
PNC has been planning the eventual merger of the two banks since it acquired National City on Dec. 31, 2008, Cheryle Russo, market manager for central Ohio, told the News Thursday.
“This is an exciting time for our company and our customers,” Russo said.
