MOUNT VERNON — Snow isn’t just an inconvenience to motorists, it can get in the way of official county utility business. Knox County Water and Wastewater Superintendent Ron Simpson met with the board of commissioners Thursday morning for a regular meeting. That meeting included technical details of pending projects and an examination of a potential new metering system, all of which include many hurdles.
But the tallest hurdle for water department business at the moment is the aftermath of the recent triple-whammy of snowstorms which has plagued the area.
