  • February 20, 2010

MOUNT VERNON — Defying Mother Nature and the wintry weather, the Knox County Board of Education met as scheduled Thursday evening.

Superintendent Bernie Pachmayer told the News on Friday the board discussed the myriad work force development opportunities of a proposed new adult education program called Hospitality/Surveillance/Ga-ming. The program will encompass a range of subject areas, including customer service, surveillance, accounting and management. The board subsequently approved the program, which is expected to launch in August or September.
