DANVILLE — On Friday, the Danville Board of Education recognized this year’s spelling bee winners. Sixth-grade champion David Alden was also the district’s overall winner. Other grade level winners include Bethany Davis, fifth grade; Alyssa Urban, seventh grade; and David McCartney, eighth grade.

The board also congratulated the Mock Trial teams for placing first and second in district competition. They will now advance to the regional Mock Trial match on Friday.
