MOUNT VERNON — City Council put to rest the issue of two- and four-hour parking in the Central Business District when it adopted Ordinance 2010-02* at its meeting Monday night.

Two-hour parking will be enforced from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, on the following streets:

•Both sides of Main Street from Chestnut Street to the viaduct.

•All of Public Square except areas designated 30 minutes.

•Both sides of Ohio Avenue, Gambier Street and Vine Street, between Gay and Mulberry streets.

•Both sides of High Street from Mechanic Street to McKenzie Street except areas designated 30 minutes.

•Both sides of Chestnut Street from Main Street to McKenzie Street.

•Both sides of Mulberry Street from Chestnut to Vine Street.
