Drills help students learn safety

Fixing a problem under the square

Fixing the sewer pipe break on the east side of Public Square on Tuesday, workmen from the Terra Valley Construction Co. lower a new manhole into the 9-foot-deep trench. At left is Les St. Clair. Behind him is Duane VanHorn, city engineering technician; Cameron Keaton, city engineer; and David Barr. Keaton said they should have it “buttoned up” today. (Virgil Shipley)

Bakery adds coffee grinder

Lorie Lichtenwalter, who along with her husband, Doug, owns the Asetta Bread Co. in Fredericktown, shows off the new cafe coffee grinder the couple recently purchased. The Little Bean Coffee Co., a new venture for the Lichtenwalters, was launched this week. Freshly roasted gourmet coffee and custom coffee blends will be featured at Asetta’s dine-in location.
